GLOSSARY
Web Hosting
Web Hosting is an older concept that describes something being stored or hosted on a server connected to the internet. Traditionally, this has been a service that enables websites to be accessible on the internet and file-sharing services.
The various web hosting providers give you space on a server where you can store the files that make up your website, and they usually also offer other services such as backup and database management.
The term “Web Hosting” is becoming less and less used as technology companies such as Microsoft, Apple, Google, and Amazon have increasingly shifted towards selling various services on top of the storage layer in the infrastructure.
